Woman arrested after fire intentionally set at building near Tidwell Rd and Lockwood Dr in northeast Houston

A 46-year-old woman is in custody after witnesses said she intentionally set a fire at a building near Tidwell Road and Lockwood Drive in northeast Houston around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to Houston police. Witnesses also told officers she assaulted another woman by pushing her, spraying her with Mace and using a mini taser. Houston firefighters put out the fire, and no injuries were reported. Police said the woman spit on an officer while paramedics were loading her onto a stretcher. She was taken to a hospital for medical clearance before being arrested and faces charges of aggravated assault and harassment of a peace officer. Investigators are still looking into the fire.
