Man and woman shot dead outside Near Northside home on Lindale Street; suspect in custody

A man and a woman were shot and killed in front of a home in the 900 block of Lindale Street, near Cochran Street in Houston's Near Northside, around 8:20 a.m. Monday. Neighbors told police they heard gunshots before the two were found in the driveway. HPD says investigators believe it may have stemmed from a domestic dispute involving the woman's ex-boyfriend. A resident spotted the suspect's license plate and license-plate cameras helped police track his car; he was taken into custody near Dayton hours later.
