Stabbing suspect barricaded at Garden Oaks Village; smoke seen on Shepherd

HPD responded after 4 p.m. Friday to a stabbing at Garden Oaks Village apartments in the 4400 block of North Shepherd Drive. A man was stabbed; the suspect barricaded inside a unit. By about 7 p.m. smoke was seen from the apartment and HFD responded to a fire there. Shepherd Drive was closed during the active scene. Victim condition and custody status were not released.
