Pedestrian fatally struck near 7900 Corporate Drive in southwest Houston

Houston police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash around 11:10 p.m. Tuesday near 7900 Corporate Drive. Officials said a maroon Ford F-250 was traveling eastbound in the 9600 block of Beechnut Street and turning north when it struck a pedestrian in a moving lane of traffic. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. The driver stayed, showed no signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released pending the ongoing investigation. Source: City of Houston Newsroom
