Patient shot by security after pulling knife at Memorial City hospital
Shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center (921 Gessner Road), a man in his early 30s who had sought help and said he was suicidal pulled a knife in the ER area. Security used Tasers; when he got back up and reached for the knife again, a security sergeant shot him in the torso. He was treated and expected to be transferred for more care. HPD is investigating. (Source: KPRC / ABC13)
