Man found dead in Buffalo Bayou near Second Ward construction site

Houston police are investigating after a man was found dead in a body of water near a construction site along Buffalo Bayou in the Second Ward on Tuesday morning. A caller reported seeing a body in the water near 625 N. York Street, north of Navigation Boulevard, shortly after 8 a.m., and crews responded around 8:20 a.m. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man deceased at the scene. HPD’s Homicide Division is handling the case while awaiting autopsy results from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences; identity and cause of death have not been released.
