Armed man surrenders after hours-long SWAT standoff with 4-month-old on Princess Garden Way; baby safe

An armed man who barricaded himself inside a home in the 11800 block of Princess Garden Way, near W. Orem Drive and SH-288 in south Harris County's City Park area, surrendered around 8:45 p.m. Monday after an hours-long standoff with HCSO SWAT and Precinct 7 deputies. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says it began with a disturbance call Monday morning, when the man produced a gun and fled with a 4-month-old baby boy. Deputies went in after hearing a gunshot inside; the infant was recovered unharmed and the man was taken into custody without injury.
