Speeding driver killed after hitting several cars and a utility pole at Westheimer and Hillcroft

A driver was killed and three other people were hospitalized, one in critical condition, after a four-vehicle crash around 10 p.m. Thursday at Westheimer Road and Hillcroft Avenue in southwest Houston. Houston police say a car speeding westbound on Westheimer tried to weave between vehicles, struck at least three of them, and then hit a utility pole. The at-fault driver died at the scene.
