Dozens of shots fired, car flipped on Ella Blvd in north Houston; FBI and HPD at nearby home
Houston police were called to the 13500 block of Ella Boulevard in north Houston around 1:20 p.m. Monday after a caller reported a flipped vehicle and then heard gunshots as a man ran off. Neighbors' surveillance video shows several men running down a residential street while dozens of shots ring out, and residents told KPRC 2 they found shell casings near their driveways in an area with children. The overturned car had shattered glass and bullet holes and is connected to the shooting, according to law enforcement. FBI Houston agents and HPD officers with the Safe Streets Task Force later served a warrant at a home in the 13000 block of Ella View Lane, and the FBI says the gunfire happened before they arrived. Officials have not said whether anyone was hurt or whether the warrant is tied to the shooting; no officers were injured.
