Person hospitalized after reported shooting at El Botanero on Gulf Freeway

Houston police responded around 4 a.m. Monday to a reported shooting at a shopping center at 9255 Gulf Freeway, where officers were seen at El Botanero, an after-hours club. At least one person was taken to a hospital. A man in the parking lot who said he did not see the incident told authorities there was an argument inside and that a waitress shot a man who was grabbing his neck. Police had not publicly confirmed a shooting or released suspect information as of early Monday. Source: KPRC/Click2Houston; Houston Stringer.
